The Moonlandingz

An outsider ouija psych pop super group, born out of a fictional band & imagined by Sheffield (UK) based Audio Taxidermists and bearded analog synth scientists, The ECCENTRONIC RESEARCH COUNCIL aka Adrian Flanagan and Dean Honer (from ex-wonky electronic chart botherers, The All Seeing I), who brought in LIAS SAOUDI, frontman from the "most dangerous band in Britain" (N.M.E), THE FAT WHITE FAMILY and their guitarist SAUL ADAMCZEWSKI.

One track by the fictional band titled, 'Sweet Saturn Mine', got picked up immediately by BBC 6 Music and other BBC stations and became a main stay on British radio throughout the whole of spring 2015 and picked up best track of the year with 6 music dj's and various online music publications in the end of year polls.

The demand to hear & see the band was so great that the fictional band became a real band in August 2015 (with additional live members Mairead O'Connor, Ross Orton and Lee 'manfreedo' Mann) and did a handful of sell out shows across the UK and more recently were invited by Iggy Pop to open for him at his first official live show promoting his album ‘Post Pop Depression’ in Austin, Texas, during this years SXSW.

The band have just finished recording and mixing their eagerly anticipated debut Album (Due March 2017) in upstate New York with their friend, Sean Lennon featuring guest appearances from Randy Jones The Cowboy from The Village People, Rebecca Taylor (Slow Club/Self Esteem) and the legendary, YOKO ONO.

Their new single 'Black Hanz' has just been released worldwide and with a full UK tour booked in for 2017, plus festival appearances across Europe and another trip States side all being mooted, the future at the very least is looking futuristic..for once.
